Generally, articles are between 6,000 – 12,000 words in length and draw upon relevant research and professional literature in order to present original research findings or offer new insights into existing areas of study.

The IALLT Journal encourages submissions on topics as they relate to technology for teaching and learning foreign and second languages

Peer Review Process

Upon submission, the Managing Editor will acknowledge receipt of your manuscript. The review process for your submission will begin with a preliminary review by the Managing Editor. If the Managing Editor finds your article to meet the minimal content criteria for the Journal, it will be forwarded on for a full review by two independent Associate Editors. Associate Editors are given 4-6 weeks to conduct their reviews and are required to submit feedback via the Journal’s Editorial Review Form. This feedback includes both internal information for the editorial board as well as external information to be relayed back to the author. Once the full reviews have been completed by both Associate Editors, the Managing Editor considers their feedback in order to make a recommendation regarding publication. Each submission is eventually evaluated according to one of the three recommendations:

• Acceptable for publication with minimal revisions
• Acceptable for publication with significant revisions
• Not suitable for publication at this time

It is left to the author’s discretion whether he or she wishes to make the suggested revisions for publication.
